This is a ground floor opportunity at PRA so we are looking for someone to help build out this function! 

 

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

We’re taking a fresh approach at ways that technology and analytics can empower those working in the clinical lifecycle and shape the future of clinical development.

  • Act as Procurement IT Business Partner and routinely engage with IT and all other related stakeholders to assist in setting procurement strategies, manage strategic sourcing initiatives, contract development and negotiations, and manage the overall post contractual supplier relationship.
  • Willl be part of the larger Global Procurement team and reports to the Director of Corporate Vendor Management.
  • Partner with IT and other stakeholders and various business units on appropriate spending strategies various transactions such as professional services, maintenance contracts and large hardware/software purchases.
  • Support all stakeholders spend requirements and priorities by leading various procurement initiatives.
  • Assist is selecting supplier sources by guiding competitive sourcing activities with current suppliers, new suppliers and supporting overall supplier diversity efforts.
  • Manage activities related to all sourcing, supplier evaluation and business award within the IT category.
  • Work within a larger team environment with Vendor Management, IT, Legal, QA, and others on various contractual documents with selected suppliers and assist in negotiations for optimal terms and conditions as well as compliance and risk avoidance for PRA initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of software compliance and how to manage it both proactively and reactively.
  • Sets the foundation for and implements the framework for post contract management and supplier relationship management that ensures supplier performance and continuous improvement for strategic IT suppliers based on stakeholder feedback and performance based metrics/KPIs.
  • Assist with all transformational activities to build Vendor Management/Procurement organizational capabilities and improve efficiencies, risk mitigation and business continuity.

Qualifications

What do you need to have?

  • Bachelor degree in an associated field, IT related degree preferred with proven experience in technology related procurement.
  • 5-7 years procurement leadership experience in the IT category
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other enterprise level Procure to Pay and Contract Management based software platforms such as SAP, ORACLE, ZYCUS, etc.
