We are looking for experienced programmers to complement our newly formed Data Integration and Standards Team which mainly focusses on SDTM dataset production covering offices based in North America, UK and Germany while utilising some ‘offshore’ resources in China.


The global programming management team are consistently focused on identifying and retaining industry leading talent using a supportive and engaged management style they will provide a focus for staff development alongside an effective work/life balance. Home-based positions will be considered upon request for applicants with the appropriate experience and communication skills.

If selected, then you will assist with the delivery of projects in either a lead or support programmer position as a Data Programmer (SDTM focussed). You will also be frequently collaborating within multi-cultural global teams, so will need to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, exhibit pro-active teamwork alongside a positive attitude, and maintain up-to-date industry awareness and understanding of regulation/standards.





  • aCRF creation
  • SDTM or Tabulation datasets creation and QC
  • Creation of SDTM define.xml and Study Data Reviewers Guide (SDRG)
  • Use Pinnacle 21 Report to validate datasets
  • Raw Data transfers
  • SDTM or Tabulation Data transfers
  • Direct the programming activities on multiple studies
  • Be aware of timelines, plan resources, analyse study finances etc.
  • Mentor junior programmers
  • Contribute toward SME teams
  • Become involved with process improvement and initiatives



  • An undergraduate degree in a mathematical, statistical, quantitative or scientific field is required.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar field - ideally within a CRO (Clinical Research Organisation) is required. 
  • Must have prior experience leading studies and interacting directly with sponsors. 
  • Must have experience working with a support team. 
  • Must have experience leading and writing specifications. 
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
