What will you be doing?

Working in a global team environment to build and optimize complex, custom software applications.  We’re taking a fresh approach at ways that technology and analytics can empower those working in the clinical lifecycle and shape the future of clinical development.


As Sr. IT Business Analyst, you would represent the BA team for continuous improvement initiatives using a variety of analytical skills, techniques, and resources.  Collect and analyze business needs of project stakeholders and author requirements and user stories to ensure that quality solutions are delivered that align with PRA’s strategies.  Serve as liaison between business users, development, QA, architects, 3rd party vendors, and partner with the project manager for successful delivery on COTS and custom build products.  


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the definition and prioritization of requirements, systems enhancements, and process improvement from users.
  • Collaborates with business and IT representatives on stakeholder communication, user training, and software demonstrations.
  • Represents Business Analysis team and IT department internally and externally to continuously improve IT processes and maximize ROI for IT investments/ initiatives.
  • May participate in evaluating alternate solutions and design processes and systems which include user impact considerations, cost and benefits analysis, and processing specifications.
  • May manage external vendors and/or contractors to deliver products.
  • Acts as a mentor to junior members of project team.


  • Advanced experience in the application of the organization’s information technology principles, architecture and strategy
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills.
  • Advanced business analysis skills used to document user requirements
  • Advanced and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to represent the interests of all stakeholders to high level management.
  • Ability to stay up to date on complex new applications, processes and procedures and share information/train team members
  • 8+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Clinical related field preferred
