What will you be doing?


As a Director of Clinical Team Management, you will be responsible for Clinical Team Management staff achievement of functional goals in accordance with Company mission and objectives, including hiring, resourcing, training, mentoring, evaluating staff performance, and providing project oversight  to ensure successful delivery of clinical project deliverables, technical competence and compliance, within timelines and quality whilst maintaining maximum billability.


Job Responsibilities:


Ensures appropriate Clinical Team Manager resources are available to meet corporate and project objectives for new and ongoing projects:

  • Reviews current assignments and utilization to ensure staff are resourced effectively
  • Ensures resources are adequately trained and performing at the required level
  • Follows up assignments and performance with Project Management 

Responsible for training and development of Clinical Team Managers to ensure optimal performance, compliance with PRA systems and processes, and development of effective leadership skills:

  • Trains, coaches and mentors staff
  • Monitors performance in client/internal project team Creates specific development plans focused on enhanced performance
  • Participates in development and deployment of functional area training


Responsible for oversight of delivery of clinical project deliverables within time and cost and contracted quality:

  • Reviews status of clinical deliverables  for all line reports with focus on risk, quality and financial management
  • Supports development of mitigation plans with effective escalation
  • Supports collaboration with appropriate functional areas to achieve positive outcomes
  • May undertake a Portfolio oversight consultancy role


Responsible for functional area representations:

  • Participates in corporate/functional initiatives as requested
  • Participates in and develops functional area related communications


Functional management of Associate Directors as required

Identifies and leads initiatives for consistent working practices within Clinical Team Management Group (CTMG) and/or the wider organization



  • What do you need to have?

    • Minimum of 5-10 years of drug development employment experience with previous management of direct reports is required.
    • Read, write, and speak fluent English; fluency in the language of the host country required.
    • An undergraduate degree in health sciences from an accredited institution or international equivalent degree.
    • An advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D., Pharm.D., MBA, M.D.) preferred.
