The Benefits Specialist is a key contributor to the PRA Global Benefits function specializing in the areas of leave of absence management, health and welfare administration, vendor management, project support and program implementation.  The Specialist will provide escalated support for program administration and elevated customer service issues.  The Specialist will also contribute to cross-functional project teams as required and may lead projects within area of responsibility as needed.


 

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead for of PRA’s North American absence program activities including but not limited FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, etc.
  • Ensure program compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, documents and processes as needed to ensure proper program execution and understanding
  • Work with vendors and internal departments to drive program implementation and ongoing flawless execution. Troubleshoot as needed.
  • Provide elevated administration of the Companies health & welfare programs as required
  • Develop and deliver analytics/dashboard across PRA’s leave of absence programs including US, Canada and Puerto Rico
  • Perform competitive benchmarking analysis and leverage key internal data to develop recommendations for program modification/enhancement
  • Examine, identity and implement process improvements to drive efficiency in delivery of PRA’s benefit program processing
  • Responsible for escalated plan administration and employee service issues
  • Work closely with employees, managers and HR Business partners regarding sensitive and confidential matters
  • Assist in managing compliance activities for benefit programs
  • Work with vendors to solve complex problems
  • Perform analytics and benchmarking analyses
  • Participate in projects of significant scope
  • May lead projects of moderate scope
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and develop process efficiencies
  • Develop and deliver communications

Qualifications

 

  • 3 years of relevant experience 
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit plans and concepts
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office programs
  • Highly organized with an ability to exercise judgement to handle complex issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly customer-focused with ability to handle sensitive situations with high degree of professionalism
  • Some experience with project management is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field of study
