The Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for owning and achieving interim and final contractual deliverables for assigned projects/programs, according to time, quality/scope and cost constraints. The PM must have a detailed understanding of all functional service areas and be able to autonomously lead multifaceted functional teams effectively. The candidate is expected to bring to the position a strong understanding for planning and conducting real world research under GEP/GPP and GCP guidelines.


  • Understands and manages client expectations to achieve study aims while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Proactively identifies, mitigates and manages risks and/or issues.
  • Manages project resources and utilization.
  • Contributes to development, maintenance and approval of operational study plans. Guides and supports team leads in prioritizing, problem-solving and contingency planning.
  • Owns projections of units/hours (revenue and resources), actual units/hours efficiency analysis.
  • Identifies out of scope activities/requests and ensures these are approved upfront via contract modification.
  • Ensures control of financial risk to PRA.
  • Leads presentations of financial reviews and is accountable for action item follow up.
  • Ensures adherence to company SOP, policies and guidelines at the project level.
  • Assumes a leadership role to ensure project team compliance with PRA processes and systems including escalation to relevant functional and operational management.
  • Mentors other members of the project management team or functional leads, as required.
  • Attends and presents at client meetings, including bid defense meetings.
  • May act as a lead project manager on international projects.


  • An undergraduate degree (graduate degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research, including real-world project management research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job.
  • Reads, writes and speaks fluent English; fluent in language of host country.
  • ** Must have experience Demonstrating and Understanding/Conducting Late Phase Project Management**
