  • Overview

     

     

    The Strategic Communications Specialist’s primary responsibility is to develop compelling messaging in visual mediums. The Strategic Communications Specialist creates presentations that differentiate PRA from its competition through 1) thoughtfully crafted messaging that embodies PRA’s brand and 2) study-specific visuals that focus on client needs while highlighting PRA’s ability to successfully operationalize a client’s clinical trial. The Strategic Communications Specialist achieves this by working with internal experts in business development, medical, scientific, executive management, and operational teams to develop focused content for use in bid defenses, kick-off meetings, and internal meetings. Crucial to this role is the ability to thrive under tight deadlines and forge strong working relationships with diverse global project teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Participates in the collaborative development of bid defense materials, marketing, and other business document sources and conveys them in a thoughtful and well-organized manner
    • Develops material for PowerPoint presentations that distills key ideas from subject matter experts
    • Translates complex scientific information into clear and compelling data visualizations
    • Contributes to strategic operational discussions in cooperation with Business Development and Scientific/Medical Affairs groups
    • Demonstrates meticulous writing and editing skills, and a commitment to exceptional quality
    • Develops quality deliverables while working in a fast-paced team environment under tight deadlines
    • Cultivates strong working relationships with diverse global teams, contributing as a team-player that’s receptive to feedback and individuals’ needs
    • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
    • Stays up-to-date on the latest software tools for graphic and document design
    • Executes corporate brand guidelines and graphic design principles
    • Proactively seeks opportunities to improve Strategic Communications group working processes and asset libraries

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
    • 1 year CRO/pharmaceutical/biotech experience required, 2 years highly preferred
    • Strong verbal and written English language skills
    • Strong graphic and document design skills


     

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Experience with the planning and development of bid defense presentations
    • Degree in technical writing, instructional design, or related field
    • Experience working in the Mac operating system environment
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Adobe Illustrator
