    Project Cost Analyst, Operations Finance

    Overview:

    To provide financial support to the overall business as well as specific client programs, as assigned.  The mission of the Operations Finance department is to accurately report the financial position of each of PRA’s projects for project teams, clients, and others who may have a vested interest in the financial activity of a project. Our mission requires that we be service-oriented relative to the financial needs of each project, while still assuring that all transactions adhere to PRA.

    Responsibilities

    Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 

    • Responsible for project setup, monthly financial close, forecasting, change order pricing,

    risk review support, client billing requests, and other financial aspects of the project. 

    • Serve as the primary financial contact for the company, for assigned client program(s), working closely with General/Account Managers, Operational Managers, Strategic Development, Contracts and Proposals groups.
    • Responsible for a full range of financial and strategic analyst support which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit through modeling and developing recommendations for senior management team.
    • Will track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the business unit including any necessary strategic analysis.
    • Interface with senior and executive management responding to their requests for financial information and resolving reporting and compliance issues.
    • Prepare special reports and financial analysis for management and provide findings and variances to plan.
    • Provide financial management support and analysis to ensure that client projects financial expectations are met.
    • Identify and highlight potential issues related to project financial risks that impact the company’s profitability.
    • Perform project analysis using different sources of information to help support the decision making process.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree.  A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance/Economics, or Business Administration, preferred.
    • 1 – 5 years related work experience, preferred.
    • A self-starter with strong problem solving and analytical aptitude.
    • Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines.
    • Proficient in Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work individually, as well as in a team setting.
    • Ability to develop, organize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service attitude and skills.
