    Analytics Consultant: Custom Analytics

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the development, implementation, management, quality, and effectiveness of assigned Custom Analytics projects.
    • Conduct data retrieval, analysis and QC of SHS data.
    • Integrate of a variety of data sources (including Patient-Level Data, Dynamic Claims, SourceRx, etc.).
    • Research public domain data (e.g., CDC, BLS, Census) and other non-pharma data (e.g., Nielsen) to improve analytical rigor of relevant projects and products.
    • Process, analyze and interpret healthcare data from very large data repositories.
    • Present quantitative methodologies and analyses’ results to internal and external clients.
    • Provide superior analyses and reasoned solutions for clients’ brand and sales leadership.
    • May travel domestically up to 10% of the time, as needed.

    Qualifications

     

    Required Education / Experience / Knowledge:

    • Master’s degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Market Research Operations, Programming, or Statistics. Advanced degree is preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in an analytical position, with an emphasis on data analysis, data integration, and quality assurance.
    • Experience using high-volume healthcare data, particularly prescription or claims data.
    • Proficiency in writing WPS or R procedures and SQL queries.
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
    • Working knowledge of any of the following types of analysis: forecasting, promotional response, marketing mix, targeting, segmentation, and ROI.
    • Working knowledge of statistical tools (SAS, SPSS, WPS, R) and methods to incorporate statistical results into analyses.
    • Experience in quantitative analysis and data manipulation of large data assets.

    Preferred Experience / Knowledge: 

    • Advanced analytical techniques: Generalized Linear Models, Choice Modeling, Response Modeling, Latent Class Analysis, Structural Equations Modeling, Multi-level Attribute Models, and Promotional Response Modeling.
    • Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • Analytical experience with longitudinal consumer data.
    • Knowledge of pharmaceutical product use and/or managed care.
