  • Overview

    Provides leadership, strategic direction, and high-level expertise to the programming group.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates all activities and personnel within programming and properly allocates resources.
      • Oversees project teams that contribute to tabulation datasets, analysis datasets, statistical analyses/displays, clinical development, and regulatory submissions.
      • Utilizes ingenuity to develop solutions to abstract problems within existing systems and processes.
      • Mentors programmers across multiple project teams.
      • Oversees programming activities for Phase I-IV studies, integrated databases and analyses, safety reviews, and ad-hoc analyses.
      • Develops and manages programming services, providing resources and management of programming activities and deliverables.
      • Establishes and maintains strategic client relationships including support of corporate business development and marketing activities at client presentations and professional seminars.
      • Supports the leadership on strategies to improve efficiency in programming.
      • Provides input into budgetary requirements by performing financial review of assigned
      • projects, managing risks and issues, and supporting the project team to ensure all out-of-scope tasks are included in change-order forms.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in a quantitative or scientific field
    • 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity in clinical programming at a CRO or
    • pharmaceutical company
    • Demonstrates strong mentoring and leadership skills.
    • Knows how to identify and hire strong candidates through the hiring process.
    • Exhibits expertise of clinical data, programming language (i.e. SAS®), and industry
    • Displays ability to communicate complex technical considerations to non-technical
